We are excited to have finally gotten this on tape. He's very elusive when it comes to his reading, but we have been noticing more and more that he recognizes words in books. It may be that he more often is memorizing what a word looks like, but that's part of reading, too. Sometimes, he does actually sound words out (like porcupine and broccoli), and he definitely has his favorite words. These are just a few of his favorites. He has a repertoire of about 20 words now and every once in a while he surprises us with a word he knows that we didn't teach him. Weird!
